Journal of Technology and Information Education 2018, 10(2):16-23 | DOI: 10.5507/jtie.2018.007
Our study surveys Swedish primary and preprimary student teachers' (n=94) views of content and methods of mathematics education in preschool and, especially, of using digital tools in preprimary mathematics education. The views related to digital tools turned out to be clearly positive in general. Students who are strongly for using digital tools are also more sure in saying that mathematics education in preschool should be fun. However, they agree less with the claims such as mathematics lessons should be structured, or that the responsibility for the mathematics education of small children belongs mainly to their parents. Those students who were...
INCREASING THE TEMPO OF READING USING A COMPUTER SIMULATION
Marek NAGY
Journal of Technology and Information Education 2018, 10(2):24-30 | DOI: 10.5507/jtie.2018.008
The article presents an experimental method of training reading aloud in the third grade of primary education. Reading aloud is an important intermediate step towards reading comprehension and reflects the state of perception of words as a whole. Its typical measurable attribute is the reading tempo, the appropriate level of which is necessary, but not sufficient, as a condition for understanding the text. The low tempo is also a demotivating factor and discourages further reading "for joy". For training purpose it was used Multimedia Reader, where children read the text into the microphone and the computer automatically checks and evaluates the recording....

Journal of Technology and Information Education 2018, 10(2):31-40 | DOI: 10.5507/jtie.2018.004
The paper presents the outputs and results of the research project, the main purpose of which was to map the digital competences of the current generation of future teachers, to identify their attitudes to the current state of undergraduate teacher training with regard to digital technology implementation. In cluster analysis research, we have mapped student groups by their level of digital competences and the evaluation they assigned to teachers on the basis of which we identified areas of development that need to be given greater attention in the preparation of future teachers.

Journal of Technology and Information Education 2018, 10(2):41-53 | DOI: 10.5507/jtie.2018.010
The article presents self-assessment as an important part of the teacher's assessment of the pupil and at the same time as one of the key category influencing pupil formation in the first years of compulsory school attendance. The aim of the article is to present partial results of a case study focused on the reflection of the current state of teacher evaluation processes in the implementation of technical education at primary school. Evaluations in such specifically focused subjects as technically oriented subjects are significantly influenced by several factors - the most important is the teacher. The article presents answers to questions - how does...

Journal of Technology and Information Education 2018, 10(2):73-93 | DOI: 10.5507/jtie.2018.012
The article represents a draft of a School Education Programme (SEP), which is going to be used as an exemplary for the education of ICT in primary schools. The exemplary SEP was created in connection with a new Framework Education Programme (FEP) and according to the present trends of ICT education, based on the possibilities of the usage of modern technologies. The reworked SEP deals with the knowledge expected for students to master and the resulting learning materials in the areas of algorithms, programming, robotics, which are supposed to be taught in schools during ICT lessons.

Danka LUKÁČOVÁ
Journal of Technology and Information Education 2018, 10(2):94-99 | DOI: 10.5507/jtie.2018.013
Occupational safety and health protection affects all areas of human life and hence professional life too. A specific vocation in this respect is the teacher who has to master this issue with regard to his / her own safety and comfort and also to the comfort of the pupil. We investigated whether the study programs for technical subjects teachers at Slovak universities reflect this fact and how teachers are prepared in the field of occupational safety and health protection. Analysis of study plans and their comparisons show that not all students necessarily undergo graduate training in this field.
TERMINOLOGICAL DISCIPLINE AND TERMINOLOGICAL CREATIVITY OF THE TECHNO-EDUCATOR
Ján STOFFA, Veronika STOFFOVÁ
Journal of Technology and Information Education 2018, 10(2):100-107 | DOI: 10.5507/jtie.2019.001

Journal of Technology and Information Education 2018, 10(2):108-122 | DOI: 10.5507/jtie.2019.002
The article is an overview study which first introduces the reader to the conception of the planned research on the impact of the 3D modeling teaching on spatial imagination. This study then introduces the current state of research on 3D modeling and spatial imagination in elementary school pupils. The overview study is conceptually divided into two parts, to search of theoretical resources, which serves in particular as a support of the theoretical part and search of research articles in the databases of Web of Science and Scopus.
