EDUCATIONAL ROBOTICS IN THE EDUCATION AT BASIC SCHOOLS IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC

The aim of our research was to map and describe the current condition of the education of educational robotics in the Czech Republic before the planned curriculum changes in technical education. We tried to find out if teachers use robotic kits in their lessons, in what subjects they use the kits and how. The aim of the research survey presented in this study was to find out how pupils of lower secondary schools perceive digital games as an educational medium. The partial objective was to find out whether pupils have encountered digital games within their education and how they are motivated to play digital games. What does the specific educational content of IT subjects at lower and upper primary schools look like? What computer related topics are actually taught? Are there any topics which are not embedded or accentuated in the current curriculum documents? We shall try to answer these questions in the submitted paper, which presents partial outputs of the conducted research, primarily focused on the issue of the acceptance of the educational content of IT subjects taught at primary schools in the Czech Republic, with special attention to the 9th grade pupils.

The article highlights the good practice of teaching CNC machine programming at a particular university where, as presented, it was necessary to create suitable conditions for this teaching because the use of CNC technology in current technical practice is one of the important areas where a graduate of a technical university can apply. Review of the publication of the author Mária Pisoòová et al. School management: terminological and explanatory dictionary, Bratislava, Wolters Kluwer s.r.o., 2017, 167 p., ISBN 978-80-8168-660-3. Publications from the field of school management do not belong to the frequent phenomena at the book market so in Slovakia as in the Czech Republic. The author of the review introduces a terminological and explanatory dictionary, prepared by a 30 member Slovak – Czech composite author, which is assigned specifically for teachers or teacher trainees of all majors.
