INNOVATIONS IN PRIMARY SCHOOL EDUCATION
- Univerzita Konštantína Filozofa v Nitre, Slovenská republika
The following strategies are known for educational innovation: flipped classroom, personalized learning, project-based learning, inquiry-based learning, puzzles, open-ended questioning, peer-to-peer learning, blended learning, offering feedback, active learning through contributions, discussion, inquiry, and creation. These strategies rely on project-based learning, blended learning, and educational technology (Edtech) based on apps, software, or the virtual classroom. In a project supported by the cultural and educational grant agency, we created innovative educational materials for the third and fourth years of primary schools. We spread the topics of health education and environmental education along with the subject of natural science to the areas of mathematics and working with information, mother tongue (Slovak or Hungarian), science, art education and physical education. In the mentioned subjects, we tried to build the correct knowledge and habits of the correct lifestyle and ecology in the students.
Keywords: edtech, mathematics working with information, application, intersubject topics.
