AB  - This paper deals with the detection of contestants' unfair behaviour in online contests. We discuss the possibilities of detecting cheating using automated data processing. We defined some indicators referring to abnormalities in the contestants' work. We created software which reveals the presence of these indicators in the work of any particular contestant in the Bebras contest. We inputted the last year's data into it. The software generated a list of contestants who may have cheated during the contest. We compared this list with the list of contestants who were disqualified by the school coordinators. We then contacted selected school co-ordinators in order to check whether they share our suspicion that some pupils had cheated during the contest.
