AB Technology education is in EU countries considered as an important part of general education of students in primary schools. However, in Slovakia since 2008 we can see gradual degradation of technology education to the current state, which is near total extinction in technical subjects at primary schools. The article describes the gradual development that in Slovakia has led to the current situation and compares it to the technology education of selected EU countries.
