AB This paper presents initial research results of using video analysis based tasks in the educational process of the students of the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the University of Zilina in Zilina. We represent the research methodology, the form of results´ processing and their evaluation. In the end we report on the research results and the comparison of a control and the experimental group that has used the method of video analysis as well as of a group comprising of grammar school students.
