AB  - The paper deals with the development and literacy skills in the Czech Republic by pupils at primary schools in relation to the current curriculum. It points the need for the usage of information and communication technologies for development of reading and general development of functional literacy. The research is carried out through a questionnaire survey and structured interview with teachers.
