AB The paper focuses on the issue of models and modelling in the context of education. It is dealing with the theory of modeling with a following transition into the field of education, and it solves the essence of the use of models for the needs of learning. Also the issue of misconceptions, which are created through the models not corresponding to reality, is analysed.
