In Slovakia, the requirements for inquiry-oriented teaching are already included in the ISCED1 curriculum in the first two cycles (1st - 3rd grade and 4th - 5th grade). It concerns in the educational area Human and World of Work. We therefore ask the question: "How are teacher graduates prepared for inquiry-oriented teaching in technical education". Within the framework of undergraduate training at the Faculty of Education, Comenius University Bratislava, we pay a lot of attention to the inquiry-based approach. The results of our research indicate differences in students' opinions before and after using the inquiry-based approach in technical education. Prospective primary teachers are in favor of inquiry-oriented teaching and appear to be sufficiently equipped with the competences to implement inquiry-oriented teaching. ER
