AB The article presents an overview study of the methodology of quantitative research focusing on the research methods most often used in the field of branch/subject didactics. The authors approach to this issue is based on a conceptual analysis of the interconnection branch didactics with general didactics, and on the conceptual analysis of the branch didactics historical development. In this context, the authors' key attention is paid to methodology of descriptive, correlation and causal-comparative research. ER
