AB The aim of our research was to find out how primary school pupils behave during solving the tasks in educational robotics. These tasks include the elements of abstraction which difficulty during the solving increases. A specific set of fifteen tasks, focused on the movement of a mobile robot in space, was created. The testing was done in two classes in the sixth year of primary school. In this article there is only a part of the results gained with direct observation and analysis of video records presented. The process of pupil adaptation on working in programming environment LEGO Mindstorms EV3 without prior knowledge of programming including gender differences and the most frequent mistakes is described here.
