AB  - The paper provides information on a research survey aimed at obtaining relevant data on the current state of implementation of the Educational Area - Man and the World of Work at the 2nd level of primary schools in the Moravian-Silesian and Olomouc regions. The partial objectives were to find actual hourly subsidies for this educational area, the existence of specialized classrooms, the choice of implemented educational fields, etc. The data are compared with the results of comparable abroad surveys (especially in Slovakia). On the basis of the results analysis, recommendations are proposed for the implementation of the Educational Area - Man and the World of Work so that the development of pupils in the field of technical education responds to the current social needs and at the same time has the potential to fulfill the vision of the technical society.
